An Alder mill. I remember when this kind of stuff was considered "brush" in the forrests. Now it's logged and used for chips and I don't klnow what else. My Dad was an Oregon Logger all his working career, he would have called these "pecker poles". Any old time Logger would't consider cutting anything this small. Times change.
